Jim Livingston

LIVINGSTON, Jim - March 2, 1938 - January 3, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of James, (Jim) Livingston, January 3, 2019 at Pinecrest Nursing Home. Jim was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba on March 2, 1938 to Lorne and Margaret (Dadgeon) Livingston, the family moved to Makinak, Manitoba and attended school, after school Jim entered the work force doing various jobs. On January 31, 1964 he married Doreen (Nee Longphee) of Ochre River, Manitoba and they resided in Kenora for 54 years. Jim started with the Town of Kenora in 1966 and worked there for 32 years. He loved the outdoors, enjoying walking, camping, skiing, sports, curling, fishing and hunting. Jim leaves to cherish fond memories his wife Doreen of 54 years, two sons; Allan (Bernadette), Bernadette's children Kevin (Sabrina) and their child Myles, DeKoda (Alisha) and their children Harlyn & Kenai, Brandie (Jared), son Cory (Heather) and Heather's children Raquel, Brianna. Jim is survived by brother Larry and Myrna Livingston of Dauphin, Manitoba, sister Dawn and Glen Recknell of Dauphin, also survived is his brother in law Gunnar Demsgarrd of Dauphin, Manitoba, several nieces, nephews and their families and extended family. The family of Jim would like to thank Home Care Services, and all the caregivers at Pinecrest Nursing Home. Jim's wish was immediate cremation, Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Jim, may honour his memory by donation to the Children's Wish Foundation or one of your choice. Doreen and family. We are sorry for your loss. We will miss you both on our Unit 4 visits to Pinecrest. Thanks for the fun and friendship you provided my mom and dad over the years.

doreen and family so sorry for your loss jim was a kind and gentle man who we got to know growing up from the time at the rabbit lake rink to the many houses that we helped build together
