Adele Wilson

WILSON, Adele - The family of Adele Wilson is sad to announce her passing on September 7, 2018 at the age of 83 at Winbourne Park LTC facility in Ajax, Ontario where she has lived since January 2016. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Mabel Tady and sister Mary Cousineau. She was an amazing mom to Sharon Galna (Bruce) of Ajax and Barbara Wilson of Perth and was a loving grandma to Kate Galna, Alex Galna and Mackenzie Thornbury. Adele will also be remembered by her two nephews Eric Cousineau (Sheila Moore) and Paul Cousineau (Judy) and many grand-nieces and -nephews. She was well-known in the Kirkland Lake area. In the 1960's and into the mid 1970's she was the singer in a band, The Cavalleros, with long time friend Tom Boland. She also worked for many years with Tom at Sonar Agency and also had a morning tv program with him on the local KFL television station in the 1970's. At that time she was also the host of the local Mini King/Mini Queen competition that was held in conjunction with the annual Winter Carnival. In 1979 Adele briefly moved to Perth, Ontario, but found her way back to KL only 3 years later when she started a bookkeeping/consulting business. She continued bookkeeping from her home until retirement. For those who knew her, they will remember her wicked sense of humour, her beautiful singing voice and her love of reading. Her Kobo e-reader was the only form of modern technology that she was happy to learn and would not live without. There will be a private family service in the summer of 2019. As a young kid, I was the first mini-king of the winter carnival. I was young, but still remember how great Adelle was at making me feel good. She was funny and full of life. I left Kirkland as a teenager, and seldom get back. It was/is a great place to be from. She helped create a memory I will always have. She was a wonderful person big part of it. So sorry for your loss.
