E. John Stephens

STEPHENS, E. John - 1935 - 2018 Passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 4, 2018 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 83. John is survived by his two sisters Anne Italuoma (Armand LíHeureux) of Timmins and Josie Bunker (Tom) of Bracebridge and several close friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Anne Stephens and by his dear companion Ann Brillinger. John was member of the Golden Beaver Masonic Lodge #528, Timmins; the Rameses Shrine Club Toronto and the Porcupine Dante Club. John owned and operated Stephens Funeral Home and Timmins Northland Monuments for many years. Funeral service will be held on Monday December 10, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. at LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME . Remembrance donations to the Timmins Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. My condolence to all the family ....I knew better John with the affiliation of hockey namely the Timmins Granites ....my son played for hockey team ...John was a great sponsor and treated everyone with a smile and a few pranks ! I travel with John on several trips with the hockey team always a pleasure ! He will surely be miss but memories will be for ever ! Rest In Peace ...John Chénier Sudbury

We are sorry to hear of the passing of John.Although we have not seen him for several years,we will always remember him for his generosity in the community through hockey.The Granites and other community interests.We will also remember his wit and humour as he vacationed in Florida!Now it is time for others to take care of your final needs as you did for others for many years.Rest In peace,John.

Gerry and I are saddened to read of John's recent passing. There were a lot of years spent at Cockburn Island Deer hunting and gatherings with the hunting group in Timmins. His affectionate smile will be missed. God Bless
