Gary James Mechefske

MECHEFSKE, Gary James - It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Gary James Mechefske, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday January 2, 2019 in Timmins Ontario. Son of Lawrence Mechefske (Elaine) and Ester (née Proulx) (both predeceased). In life, Gary’s most prized possession was his family. Amongst a lifetime of knowledge, he taught us how to debate a strong point of view and to always see the silver lining in any situation. Gary was a kind-hearted man who had a passion for the outdoors and found true happiness while fishing. His loving and kind nature has been passed down to his sons who will forever hold his memory close. He is survived by his wife Pamela and three sons, Christopher (Missy), Wayne (Trish) and Lanny (Verna). Adored by his grandchildren Meagan (Lance), Curtis (Jacinthe), Ashley (Brain), Matthew (Jenna), Travis, Jessica, Rachel and Justin. Loving and proud Great Grandfather to Lyle, Connor, Chloe, Mia, Kiana, Aria and Wyatt. Reunited with this brothers Lawrence “Bud “and Ron Mechefske (both predeceased) and forever missed by his brother Brent (Marianne) and sister’s Stacy (Chris) and Nancy. “Our family tree is broken, now nothing seems the same, but God calls us one by one, the links shall join again” Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint Alexander Church, 100 Gaudette Street, Chelmsford, Ontario on Tuesday January 8th, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Arrangements entrusted to STINSON FUNERAL HOME , 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, P0N 1H0 (705) 235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net13319958
