Madeline Guy

GUY, Madeline It is with great sadness, and a lifetime of memories, the Guy family announces the sudden passing of Madeline, 80 years old, on Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 at Health Sciences North. Loving mother of Kim Golubovich (Bob). Proud Grandma of Philip and Alexander Golubovich. Dear sister of Anita Leggett (Jim), Lillian Loiselle and Beatrice Simard (George). Cherished daughter of Bertha and Ernest Guy (predeceased). Also predeceased by her siblings, Lawrence, Jim, Gloria and Ronnie. Madeline was born and raised in Sudbury. In her early 20’s, she moved to Toronto where she soon after met lifelong friends, and her second family, the Landers sisters; Francis (predeceased), Linda (predeceased) and Joan (Ernie). She worked in advertising and at the Catholic Children’s Aid Society as an office administrator and secretary. After retirement, she volunteered at the hospital in Toronto. Madeline returned to live in Sudbury for the last few years of her life. She will always be alive in the hearts of so many and greatly missed by her feline friend, Benji. In honour of her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA or Pet Save.13320810

Farewell
Posted by Mladen (Friend) On Friday, January 18, 2019
Madeline was like an older sister to me.

We shared many wonderful, and some sad moments in life together.

I am deeply saddened by her passing, may she rejoin with her beloved Linda and Francis.

Farewell Madeline, God bless you!

You will be terribly missed by all of us.

Memories

My sympathies to Madelines family during this difficult time.

Madeline, Linda Landers Turpin and I spend many Saturday and Sundays together watching the latest good movie and enjoying a take out dinner.

So pleased that Madeline moved back to Sudbury to be closer to family, something she had wanted for a very long time.

Rest in peace Madeline, I would like to think that you, Linda and Fran are reunited on the other side.
