James William "Bill" Stevens

STEVENS, James William "Bill" - It is with the heaviest of hearts possible that we share the passing of James William "Bill" Stevens on January 23, 2019. With a six year fight, Dad is finally at peace. What a spectacular life that was lived in those 82, almost 83 years (March 2). Many happy stories of working at Spaldings with good friends. The Baseball and Hockey stories were endless. Everything dad did, he did to the fullest and with LOVE. From feeding the birds twice a day for 58 years, to having "cat huts" with electric blankets in them for the feral cats outside, to giving out good luck stones to brighten someone's day who were hurting or sad. A thoughtful and precious man, putting others first, every time. Will be dreadfully missed by his daughters Darcia Sharp (Bob), Kori Stevens (Gordon Currie), grandsons Matt and Neil, his companion and friend Rosa Demars, Wayne and Judy Johnson, Craig, Brent, Nikki and families, Ab Adams, Lisa Baldwin (Bucky), Poag and Borda Families and countless friends. Predeceased by his parents, sisters and wife Jan. A special thanks to Dr. Lee and his amazing staff, and to the Super Human staff in Palliative Care at BGH, who took care of dad with love, expertise and kindness. At Dad's request there will be no service. A Celebration of Life to be held at Knights of Columbus, 12 Catherine Ave on Saturday Feb 2 from 2 - 6 pm. Featuring the band "Heading Home" Love you so very much... Until we meet again 13323075

So very sad to hear of Bill's passing, he washed our windows for the last 10 years or more. In fact he was just here a couple weeks ago. So sad, he was such a wonderful and caring man. We will miss his weekly visits. Rest in Peace dear Bill!
