Marion Elizabeth (Woods) Stevens

STEVENS, Marion Elizabeth (Woods) - It is with intense sorrow that we announce the passing of Marion Elizabeth (Woods) Stevens at Belleville General Hospital on January 23, 2019. Marion was a fun-loving and a witty woman who was well loved by her husband Harry Stevens, and her sisters Jean (Stuart) Armstrong of Sault Ste Marie, and Joyce (Bob) Wessell of Kaladar. She is the daughter of the late Marjorie (Latta) and Clarence Woods. Dear sister-in-law of Riny (late Jack) Waganeer of Medicine Hat, Alberta, and Ellie (John) Van Eeden of Bolton, Ontario. Marion was especially close to, and loved by, several nieces and nephews: Maarje (Kelvin) Armstrong-MacQuarrie; Kristen (Sean) Armstrong-Stillmack; Sandra (Brett) Hodge; David (Jennifer), Paul (Karen), and Tanya Wagenaar; Patricia (Romano) Capone; and Christine (Ugo) Morresi. She had a special relationship with several great-nieces and great-nephews. Marion was passionate about her career, beginning as Head Nurse in ICU in Belleville and then in Pediatric Intensive Care, Head of Nursing Personnel, and Risk Management and Quality Assurance at Sick Childrenís Hospital in Toronto. Upon retirement Marion and Harry moved to Prince Edward County where they sailed for several years and regularly traveled by land and sea to many parts of the world. As per Marionís wishes, there will be no funeral service, Cremation has taken place. She requested that you share a glass of wine and some laughs with your family and friends in remembrance of her. If you wish, you may contribute to a charity of your choice in Marionís name Arrangement entrusted in the care of the BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613-968-6968) 150 Church St., Belleville. Harry, we were so sorry to hear that Marion had passed away. We both worked with her in ICU at Sick Kids. She was highly respected for her integrity and strength of character. She was very well liked by all. We send very sincere condolences.

So sorry for your loss. My parents were great friends with Marion's parents so as children, we spent a lot of time together. I have lost contact with the family. A wonderful family
