John Trusler

TRUSLER, John - It is with great sadness that the family of John Wallace Trusler announce his sudden passing on January 30, 2019. John left behind his devoted wife, Germaine; son Jason (Sandra); daughter Stephanie (Darren); stepsons Gerry (Teresa), Randy (Eveline), Christopher (Cathy), and dear grandchildren Tiago, Tomas, Celina, Jaidyn, Henry, Hailey, Lauren, Lindsay, Kieran and Tessa. Dear brother of Lynn (Bill). Predeceased by his parents J.W. (Jack) and Helen Trusler. Born in North Bay, Ontario on February 22, 1943, John attended Scollard Hall and Pickering College and worked for the Ontario Northland Railroad for 32 years. He was a life member of Albanel Assembly North Bay 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. John had a passion for Western Fiction and classic movies and was a diehard Blue Jays supporter. Blessed with a generous and kind heart and a wonderful love of family, John was a devoted husband to Germaine for 15 years. He loved his children and grandchildren and was an inspiration and example of generosity to his friends. He also leaves behind his faithful, and inseparable, canine companion Max. Service and interment in North Bay and a celebration of life in Goderich are planned for the spring. Memorial donations are appreciated and can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Jason, Stephanie,

My condolences to you both. As I told Jason the other day on FB, I always thought of him as a wonderful Dad to you both. He was always involved in your lives, taking you to ball games and other great activities, and I'm sure he was just as good of a grandfather.

My condolences to you and your families. Jason, if you're passing through Barrie on the way to/from North Bay, send me a message. I'd love to get coffee and offer my condolences in person.

Your friend,

Stephen
