James Symington

SYMINGTON, James Arthur We are sad to announce that James ("Jim") Symington passed away at VGH on January 31, 2019. He will be greatly missed by Linda, his wife of 50 years; children Jason (spouse Laurie) and Alison; grandchildren Molly, William, Olivia and Jacob; brother William; and many relatives, friends and neighbours. Raised on a farm in St. Armand, Québec, he ultimately became a big city guy ?moving from North Bay to Vancouver 25 years ago. He'll be remembered for his generosity, caring nature and genuine smile. Never one to sit idle, we'll always think of him BBQing, painting, gardening, or walking on the beach. Jim encouraged his children as they pursued their various passions. Most of all, he was proud of his grandchildren. At Jim's request, there will be no service. Memorial donations to a food bank welcomed.13325452
