I am sorry for the Merkley family, for their loss of a very fine Gentleman. I knew Ron years ago while he was stationed at the Gananoque Detachment of the OPP. I had the utmost repect for Ron, especially his manorism dealing with the Public. He was fair and honest with people. He was a great Police Officer.
