PEDNEAULT, Raymond - It is with heavy hearts our family announces the sudden passing of Raymond (Ray) Pedneault Sr. while spending time in Mexico; his home away from home on Saturday March 2nd, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Loving husband of Helene (née Turgeon), Ray’s true love and centre of his world for 54 years. Proud father of sons Ray Jr. (Lorna) and Marc (Michelle). Ray was born on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing, where he lived his entire life. Ray, Ron and their wives were the third generation of Pedneault owners of West Arm Lodge. Ray formed countless friendships over the years guiding families around the lake sharing his wisdom and enthusiasm for the outdoors. Ray also owned an outpost camp and after earning his pilot’s license, fulfilling a passion for flying by transporting groups into the camp to enjoy Northern Ontario living. Ray, Helen and the family enjoyed his little slice of heaven and he will be missed at the campfire. Our deepest sympathies to you, Helene, Ray Jr., Marc and your families. We so enjoyed spending time with you, Helene, and Ray in Mexico. We learned so much from Ray and counted him as a close friend. We loved the way he could tell a story and be laughing at himself while he taught us about life in Mexico and life in general and in the end we’d all be laughing together. He was a kind, wise man with a great sense of humour who loved & cherished his family and friends and we will all miss him.

It is with great sadness that we find out that Ray has passed on. We have known Ray and Helene for many years as owners of the West Arm Lodge. His laughter and kind heart will be missed by us and hoping that Helene can overcome such a great loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pedneault family.

Hélène, Ray et Marc,

Très peiné d'apprendre le décès de Raymond au Mexique. Raymond était vraiment très apprécié. Son départ laisse sûrement un grand vide pour vous tous.

Mes sincères sympathies à toute la famille.
