William Louis "Lou" Powers

POWERS, William Louis "Lou" - Of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, March 17th, 2019, with his family by his side , at the age of 79. Dearly loved husband of Nancy (Merritt) Powers and loved father of the late Tiare Tierney-Powers. Dear father-in-law of Mike Tierney. Predeceased by a brother James R. “Jim” (late Margaret). Dear brother-in-law of Pat Bridge, Cathy Meeuse (Bill) and Sue Merritt. Sadly missed by nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Lou was born in St. Thomas on February 15, 1940, the son of the late James and Jean (MacIntyre) Powers. He was retired from Brass Craft. Lou also farmed and worked in construction. He enjoyed the coffee gang at Sunset Café. Resting at WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME , 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.13330967
