Robert Jr. Charlebois

CHARLEBOIS, Robert Jr. - In Loving Memory We lost dad on Friday April 5th 2019 at the age of 81. Many of his friends passed at the age of 77 and dad was convinced he would too. Instead we got an extra four years of good stories, lots of laughs, fishing trips to Horwood Lake, and dad's particular brand of television criticism. Dad lived in Timmins or South Porcupine his entire life, but for brief periods in Englehart and Ottawa. Back in the day he worked at his dad's store Ideal Hardware on Third Ave, and later had many businesses in Timmins including The Maple Leaf Hotel and The Balmoral. He then worked at Northern College for many years. The place he loved the most was Horwood Lake, where he had been going for 60 years to hunt, fish, and just enjoy a 'sociable' with family and friends. We would like to thank the staff at the Timmins District Hospital for exceptional care. While he most eloquently critiqued the food and mattresses there, he had nothing but good things to say about the nurses and doctors who attended to him. We would also like to thank Donna Krysco for being such a great friend to dad and always looking out for him. 'Bob' will be missed by his children Denis Charlebois of Timmins and Lise Charlebois (Jonathan White) of Peterborough, his brother Maurice Charlebois (Irene Butler) of Buckingham, his grandchildren Marco Charlebois (Brianne Roy) of Timmins, Danielle Charlebois (Dylan Fawcett) of Etobicoke, and Nathan White of Toronto, his great-grandchildren Taylor and Kaylin Charlebois of Timmins, his nieces Lyne Charlebois (Steven McConnery) of Chelsea, Michèle Charlebois (Roch Galipeau) of Timmins, and Sylvie Charlebois (André Cole) of Gatineau, and his life-long friend Madeleine Quesnel. He lost his beloved mother Jacqueline Charlebois (née Chénier) and father Robert Charlebois Sr. 20 years ago and he missed them every single day. Arrangements entrusted to STINSON FUNERAL HOME , 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net To Bob! (raising a glass). 13333636

Sending our sincere condolences to you all at this sad time.

He was a very nice man. Every once in a while he would bring us pickerel at the office, which we enjoyed a lot.
