George William Sansom

SANSOM, George William - "VE3GWS" Avid Amateur Radio Operator; former Electronics Technologist with the Canadian Armed Forces, Correctional Service of Canada and Ontario Provincial Police Peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Monday, May 20, 2013. George Sansom, in his 68th year, beloved husband of 45 years to Myrtha (nee Tremblay). Loving father of Diana Sansom (her husband Mike Langevin) of Brooklin and the late Kevin Sansom. Affectionately known as "Grandad" to his grandchildren, Ethan and Jocelyn. In accordance with George's wishes, all are welcome to attend a public graveside service at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens (2563 Division Street, Glenburnie), on Friday, May 24, at 11:00 am, with Reverend Peter Schaub officiating. A celebration of his life and a light luncheon will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 560 (734 Montreal Street). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to U.H.K.F. (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario), in Mr. Sansom's memory.12435002

George was my right hand man in Delta Squadron Block Three POET section. I could always depend on George to carry out any task assigned. I will miss him for his friendship, dedication and expertise.

So sorry to hear of George's passing. I'll remember our trip to Trenton Air Museum last year and how much he enjoyed seeing the Vudoo display. He did a great job with the communication installations for the OPP all over Ontario. Our deepest sympathies.
