Elsie Preete

PREETE, Elsie - Elsie Preete was born on June 12, 1937 in the Gronlid area to Alvin and Tillie Pshyk. She passed away on November 8, 2016 at Melfort Hospital at the age of 79 years. Elsie took her elementary schooling in Tallman School and finished high school in Gronlid. She then started working at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in Melfort and completed her career with the Melfort Credit Union until retirement. Elsie married L. A. "Joe" Preete in 1963 and they resided in Melfort the entire time. They were blessed with one son Trevis. Some of Elsie's hobbies and pastimes include: playing ball, bowling, singing, dancing, needle point and reading. Elsie was predeceased by her parents, two brothers: Michael and Nick; three sisters: Iris, Mary and Victoria. She is survived by her loving husband Joe; son Trevis (Rhea) and their children Lucas and Joshua; one brother Jerry and sister Cecilia. Elsie will be missed by everyone who knew her. A Memorial Service for Elsie was held from the Fedusiak Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dave MacPherson officiating. The interment followed in the Columbarium at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The organist for the service was Joyce Moore. Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan. Just read about the passing of Elsie. Truly enjoyed talking to her, when teaching in Melfort/Pleasantdale. Her cheerful attitude will be missed! now living in Swift C. john m
