Charles Cameron “Cam” Condy

CONDY, Charles Cameron “Cam” - It is with great sadness that the family of Cam Condy announces his passing on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the age of 69. He was born in Melfort hospital on April 17, 1948, to parents Hubert and Mabel Condy of the Whittome District. Cam went to Prescott School, Grade I-VIII and MCCI High School. After school he went to Prince George to survey, Victoria, Prince Rupert, Kitimat and then back to Melfort. In Melfort he worked for East End Grocery, O.K. Economy, B&R Super Service, Northeast Implements and nearly thirty years for Coquet & Bourgault Implements. November 14, 1972, married Kathryn Bayne and together had 3 children: Ryan, Jared and Brett, they later separated in 1992. Cam did a lot of volunteer work. He kept score and announced for Hockey teams from 1964 - 2002, first 14 years for the Melfort Mustangs and was involved in Minor Sports. He played senior ‘A’ fastball for the Melfort Frost 222’s, a time he really enjoyed, the competition, the teammates, and the travel were some of the very best times of his life. He spent 22 years with the Melfort Volunteer Fire Department where he made life-long friendships. Cam leaves to mourn: brother Merlin; sons: Ryan, Jared (Jen), Brett (Angie), an aunt and cousins. He was predeceased by: mother Mabel (2008) and father Hubert (1978); brothers: Kenneth (2005) and Dale (2002); twin sister Cheryl (1983); grandfather Ole Johnson (1956) and grandmother Ida Johnson (1987), as well as his other grandparents Johnson Condy (1944) and Ellen Condy (1948). Blessed Be His Memory. A Memorial Service for Cam was held from the Fedusiak Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dave MacPherson officiating. The interment followed in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Columbarium. The eulogy was given by Jared Condy, the urn bearer was Jim Morrison, and Honorary Pallbearers were past and present members of the Melfort Fire Department.
