Gladys Donalda Riome

RIOME, Gladys Donalda - 91 years of age, died peacefully in Ottawa, Ontario, on November 06, 2017. She was born May 15, 1926, in Harriston, Ontario, one of six children of Hugh and Gladys (Dobie) Simpson. Gladys married Stanley Douglas Riome on December 27, 1947, and resided in Nipawin from 1949 to 1976, where she spent her most active and productive years. She was a devoted wife and mother whose gentle character and quiet faith was appreciated by those who knew her. Gladys Riome was also known in Nipawin and New Hamburg, Ontario, for her delicious baking, which she gave so generously. Gladys is survived by her husband Stanley Riome, sons Paul (Connie) and David (Kim) of Saskatoon, daughters Ann (Denis) and Joan of Ottawa, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.13244339

To Stan and family - so very sorry to hear that Gladys has passed away. We lived in Nipawin many, many years ago and she was a very good friend of ours.

Our sincere condolences Stan , we just now discovered that Gladys had passed away. Gladys was a truly lovely lady , both kind and gentle. She was so gracious and welcoming to us when we first arrived in Nipawin. May she Rest In Peace knowing she was loved by all.
