DEL GUIDICE, Father Edouard - Priest of the Diocese Timmins 1922 - 2018 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Father Edward Del Guidice, priest of the Diocese of Timmins from 1950 to 2018. Father Édouard Del Guidice was born in St-Eugène-de-Guigues, Quebec, on September 9, 1922, the son of a family of eight children, to the marriage of the late Nunzio Del Guidice and the late Therese Bédard. He studied at the Saint Paul University Seminary in Ottawa (1946 - 1950). Ordained priest on June 3, 1950, in the Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue Church of Timmins, Father Del Guidice was appointed vicar of the same parish and in September 1950 he became vicar at the parish of Malartic. Father Edouard Del Guidice is known for his availability and commitment to the service of the Church he loves and all the people he has met in his ministry. To Marlene and family, I remember your uncle at family gatherings and how he loved being among the family, the laughter, the music and the food. He lived his priesthood with joy, dedication and with his unique smile. Good memories and thoughts to you all.
