Georgette Blair

BLAIR, Georgette - It is with heavy hearts we inform one and all of our loss Sunday, December 9, 2018 when Georgette Blair, favourably known as Lou, passed away from natural causes at home in Chelmsford Ontario at the age of 82. She was born in Driftwood Ontario and her birth was registered as January 23, 1936. Georgette is survived by her three children Valrie, Shelley and Benjamin along with their mates and children. Georgette also leaves behind 9 of her 11 siblings and their mates: Yvette Chalifoux (Wilfred) McLaujhen, Dolores (Ken deceased) McDermott, Cecile (Lorne) Wilkins, Rachel (Glen deceased) Noland, Mirella (Gilbert) Valliere, Charles (Nicole) Thomas, Denis (Joelle) Thomas, Harvey (Yvonne) Thomas, Adeline (Bob) Burns. Georgette is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Florian Thomas, and her 2 younger brothers Daniel and Elie. Georgette also recently endured the death of her beloved husband Raymond Blair June 19, 2016. She and Raymond married in April 1956. Although it was a bumpy road ahead, including a divorce, they remarried August 1994 and remained together building a life in Kemptville Ontario. When their health began to deteriorate they moved in with their son Benjamin in St. Catharines Ontario December 2013. Benjamin devoted the next 2.5 years caring for their needs till Raymondís peaceful death at home according to his wishes. Georgette then moved to Chelmsford Ontario to live with her younger daughter Shelley and her husband Mike Messier. They lovingly nurtured her for the remaining two and half years till her peaceful, pain-free death at home as per her wishes. Her contributions to the lives of many include her work as a reflexologist. She pioneered reflexology in Northern Ontario. Memorial Service for Georgette was held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahís Witnesses, 141 Highway 11 South Cochrane ON. P0L1C0.13318810
