Marilynn Jackson

JACKSON, Marilynn - Marilynn Jackson, our beloved “Energizer Bunny” passed away peacefully at Rideaucrest Home. Her life spanned from 25 May 1925 to 6 February 2019. She is predeceased by her husband of 59+ years, Bruce Jackson in 2009. She is survived by her brother Jack Jerome Bradley of Niagara Falls, and her cousin Sheila Cudworth of Nottingham, England. She’ll be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and kindred spirits too numerous to list. Mom leaves to mourn four daughters: #1 The eldest daughter - Christine Jackson (Cesar Rego) of Orangeville. Grandchildren: Bill Bevens (Barry Richardson); Paula Bevens Rutter (Mike Rutter). Great Grandchildren: Bryce and Brandon. #2 Marcia (Jelle Blom) of Ottawa. Grandchildren: Melissa of Ottawa; Katrina (Jesse Coss) of Ramona, California. #3 Cate (Richard Clarke) of Kingston. #4 Susan (Per-Ake Persson) of Kingston. Grandchildren: Philip of Ottawa; Erik of Kingston. According to Marilynn’s wishes, Cremation and Care entrusted to CATARAQUI CEMETERY on Purdy’s Mill Road with no fanfare or service. A private interment will happen in late spring, early summer for family and friends when Marilynn will be laid to rest in peace beside Bruce. Mom exhibited dignity, humour and compassion particularly in her last few years. We can learn a lot from her approach to life. She always said to her daughters, “Just remember what I taught you”, and rest peacefully Mom, we will. 13325304

Our family gets a little smaller

Aunt Marilynn was the historian and rock of the family. I enjoyed the old stories during my and Belinda's visit in the last few years. The trips to Kingston brought back memories of boat rides, and my sister falling on the houseboat and her and Susan tipping the small sailboat in the bay. Aunt Marilynn will be now able to talk to Bop and Nana about this wonderful family. Love you Aunt Marilynn. Miss you.

I remember the day you moved next door.I remember so many firsts-my 1st boat ride, my 1st beer-English, in the presence of my mom, my 1st job cutting lawns.I remember a costume party I attended as Marilyn Munroe, totally decked out by your mom at your family's store, fooling many of my friends.

Your mom was a no nonsense person straight to the point and as honest as the day was long. Please accept my greatest sympathy for the loss of your mom, she will never be forgotten, Mike Scrannage

My sympathy goes out to Marilynn's daughters and extended family. I will always remember a lady of great energy and enthusiasm for life. She had a friendly out-going personality and always displayed a wonderful sense of humour. I know she will be greatly missed by all.
