Audrey- McLlwain

McLLWAIN, Audrey- Passed away peacefully at Exeter Villa on March, 10, 2019. Born in Seaforth on March 2, 1940, Audrey Joan (née Hackwell) McLlwain of Seaforth, was in her 80th year. Beloved wife and best friend of John “Jack” McLlwain for 59 years. Loving mom of Mark McLlwain and his wife Kathy of Exeter and David McLlwain of Toronto/Grand Bend. Cherished Grandma of Carter, Jackson and Nathan. Dear sister of June Smith (Ed), Reid Hackwell (Diane), all of London, Dave Hackwell of Florida, and sister-in-law of Helen Ahrens of Mitchell, Marian Pullman, Ken McLlwain (Lois), all of Seaforth and Jim McLlwain (Nancy Steinbach) of Mitchell. Predeceased by her parents Wesley and Edna (née Reid) Hackwell, sister-in-law Torey Hackwell, and brothers-in-law Larry McLlwain and Ivan Ahrens. Audrey was a faithful member of Northside United Church in Seaforth. She loved music very much and was the Director of the Northside Junior Choir for 42 years. Visitation was held at MCGLYNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME , Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Wednesday, March 13th, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visitation continued at Northside United Church, Seaforth, on Thursday, March 14th from 10 a.m. until the time of Audrey’s funeral service to celebrate her life at 11 a.m. A reception immediately followed at the Seaforth and District Community Centre and interment will take place in Maitlandbank Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Northside United Church, Alzheimer Society of Huron County or the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation are appreciated and can still be made through the funeral home. Audrey will be sadly missed by the many people who knew her. We knew each other from SDHS on through adulthood and my whole family admired her. I never heard anyone ever say a bad word about "Aud.". She was one of a kind.

To Audrey's Family,

Sorry to hear of Audrey's passing.I have pleasant memories of her in my days growing up around Walton.

Always enjoying her piano playing and friendly disposition.

We shared the same birthday date too

Also I was taught by her Mother for 6 years at Ss#12 school.
