BURKE, William “Bill” - Everybody’s Uncle Bill Lifelong member of Local 401 Plumber & Steam Fitters Peacefully at home, after his tea, he did it his way, on Tuesday April 2, 2019 in his 88th year. Survived by his brother Patrick (Jeannette), predeceased by his sister Carol (Dr. JP Morgan). Cherished uncle of Jay, Doug (Lynn) and Mike Morgan (Leona) and Dana, Tanya (Tim), Sean and Kelly (Krista) and their children. He will be missed by his many friends at the Queens Inn (Coppers Pub). Friends are invited to gather at the Central Chapel of the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy) on Saturday April 6 between the hours of 1-4 p.m. for a time of remembrance and in celebration of his life. “Uncle Bill” was perhaps the kindest man I’ve ever had the good fortune of knowing. During my time working at The Queens Inn I always looked forward to a visit from Bill. My sincerest condolences to the family and friends. To quote Uncle Bill, “See you anon.”

I always enjoyed meeting and speaking with Bill and I know that everyone that knew him will miss his kindness and his wonderful observations on life. He was one of Kingston's great treasures. My sincere condolences to Bill's family and his many friends.

"Uncle Bill" had a calming, regal way with the English language that always made the listener feel soothed and important. I will miss Uncle Bill.

I had the pleasure and privilege to know and work with Bill for 45 plus years I apprenticed under Bill and worked with as Tradesmen one of the finest people and an outstanding Tradesmen a total gentleman RIP my Friend
