SUTTER, Irvine George Of Wiarton, peacefully at the home of his granddaughter Diana Millar, in Neyaashiinigmiing, on Sunday, April 28, 2019 in his 92nd year. Loving and devoted husband of the late Helen Joyce Lorene “Lorraine” Bartley (2010) for 59 years. Cherished father of the late Elizabeth “Beth” (1971), Debbie (Tony Chegahno), Bradley (Evelyn), Ruth, Larry (Cheryl) and Roger (Debbie J). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jeremy), Deidre (Greg), Diana (Kris), Shane, Mark, Terra, George (Katelynn), Meaghan, Jordon (Rebecca), Andrew, and Michael. Beloved great-grandfather to Nicholas, Victoria, Spencer, Amelia, Zoe, Hannah, Bronson, Maverick, Morgan and Cross. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents George and Leah (Campbell), and stepmother Florence (Steward); brothers Morgan (Helen), Ivan (in infancy), D.L. (Carole), and Guy; and sister Faith (Bob Trelford). Brothers-in-law Clarence Bartley (Marold), Cecil (Lila), Floyd (Yvonne); and sisters-in law Myrtle (Gordon Robbins), and Doris (Ivan Hooey). Survived by sister-in-law Lorraine Sutter Casemore. Dad led by example and taught us the importance of hard work. He will always be remembered in our hearts for his integrity, sense of humour, and his quiet, humble spirit. Nothing is so strong as gentleness, Nothing so gentle as true strength. Family and friends were invited to gather for visitation at the THOMAS C. WHITCROFT PENINSULA CHAPEL , 272 Berford St., Wiarton, on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A service celebrating Irvin's life was conducted from Full Gospel Temple, Hwy. 6 South, Wiarton, on Saturday May 4, 2019 at 11 AM. Interment in Balsam Grove Cemetery, Oliphant.
