KEELING, Lyle - Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services, on Saturday morning, May 11th, 2019. Lyle Cecil Keeling, of Owen Sound, went to his Eternal Home, at the age of 69 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Katharine “Kate” Keeling (nee Walpole). Loving brother of Ruth Ann Rettinger (Bill), of Elmira and brother-in-law of Bob Walpole (Randy), of Hepworth, Beth Wesolowski (Rick), of Kitchener, Howie Walpole (Jackie), of Stratford, Rick Walpole, of Owen Sound, Jim Walpole, of Wiarton and Keith Walpole (Tammy), of Owen Sound. Dear uncle of Joey Rettinger (Deanna), of Chesley and Lori Gallaugher (Ian), of Guelph and great-uncle of Madison, Lauryn, Sydney and Nathan. Lyle will be sadly missed by his special aunt, Joan Cunningham (Glenn), of Sauble Beach and his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Leola Keeling and his parents-in-law, Donald and Patricia Walpole. Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME , 250 - 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Lyle Keeling will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday afternoon, May 16th, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. with Majors Gord and Connie Armstrong officiating. Interment in Annan Cemetery, Annan. Members of the Scenic City Lion’s Club are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. prior to the visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce as an expression of sympathy. I am so very sorry, and shocked to hear of Lyle’s passing. He was a very sweet and kind man and will be missed greatly by many.

I grew up with the family out at Bothwell's Corner and have know Lyle since public school. Very sorry to see his life cut short, all the best to you Katherine and the rest of the family.
