Holly Dopson

DOPSON, Holly Pearl It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Holly Pearl Dopson on June 7, 2019. Holly was born in Sudbury but most recently lived on Kilmarnock Island, near Merrickville, with her life partner, Vicki Graham. After a brief illness, Holly died quietly and peacefully with Vicki, and their beloved dog Bella, by her side. She is sadly missed by Vicki, her siblings Bill (Helga), Ricki (Larry), Michael (Yan), Patric (Pauline), and Suzanne (Brian). Holly was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Dorothy Dopson, and her sister, Valerie. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and their families. Taking after her mother, Holly loved dabbling in the arts. She dearly loved the outdoors and could frequently be found tending their large summer garden with Vicki or sitting around a fire in the middle of winter with Bella wrapped up by her side. Evenings would often find her in their porch watching the sun set across the Rideau. She lived by the words "Carpe Diem" and felt that every day was a gift to be enjoyed. Her wishes were for her remains to be cremated. Celebrations of her life will be held at a later date, both on Kilmarnock and in Sudbury.13338391
