Laurent Viger

VIGER, Laurent - It is with great sadness that the family of Laurent Viger announces his passing on Friday October 5th, 2012 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Rita Viger. Loving father of Joanne Gravel (Jean), Marc Viger (Joanne), Nathalie Guillemette (Alain) and Chantal Viger. Loving companion of Louise Venne. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jasmine, Jade, Melanie, Déryk, Kyle, Ryan, Grant and Kevin. Dear brother of Rachel Cté, Marguerite Dupont, Suzanne Viger, Charlotte Gosselin, Claude Viger and Françoise Viger. He was pre deceased by his parents William and Marie Louise Viger brothers Aurèle, Jean and Victor. Mr. Viger was born in Dosquet, Québec and came to Welland in 1944 where he worked at the Cotton Mill. After a few years he started his very successful business Laurent Viger Construction Ltd. He developed a number of projects in the city of Welland. Laurent was a past member of the Club Richelieu and Les Gens D'Affairs. The family will receive relatives and friends at The Welland Funeral Home 827 East Main Street Welland, on Tuesday from 7 to 9pm. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at Eglise Sacre Coeur at 10am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. A vigil for Mr. Viger will be celebrated Wednesday evening at 8pm. If desired donations to the Fonds Foyer Richelieu or the Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated by the family. Époux bien-aimé de feu Rita Viger. Père aimant de Joanne Gravel (Jean), Marc Viger (Joanne), Nathalie Guillemette (Alain) et Chantal Viger. Compagne aimante de Louise Venne. Il manquera à ses petits-enfants le Jasmin, Jade, Melanie, Déryk, Kyle, Ryan, Grant et Kevin. Cher frère de Rachel Cté, Marguerite Dupont, Suzanne Viger, Charlotte Gosselin, Claude Viger et Françoise Viger. Il a été pré défunt par ses parents William et Marie Louise Viger frères Aurèle, Jean et Victor. M. Viger est né de la municipalité de Dosquet, au Québec et en est venu à Welland en 1944, o il a travaillé la filature de coton. Aprés quelques années, il a commencé son entreprise très réussie Laurent Viger Construction Ltd., il a développé un certain nombre de projets dans la ville de Welland. Laurent était un ancien membre du Club Richelieu et les gens d'affaires. La famille recevra parents et amis au SALON FUNÉRAIRE WELLAND 827 East Main Street Welland, le mardi de 7 à 9h et le mercredi de 2 à 4 et 7 à 9h. Les funérailles auront lieu jeudi à Eglise du Sacré Coeur à 10h. L'inhumation aura lieu suivi de Sainte Croix cimetière. UNE veillée pour M. Viger sera célébré mercredi soir à 8h.
