Robert Allan Burnham

BURNHAM, Robert Allan - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Robert Allan Burnham on May 20, 2014 at Tidewell Hospice, Ellenton, Florida after a short battle with cancer. Gone too soon at 57, Bob was a hard working, dedicated family man. He enjoyed life and was known for his great sense of humour. Predeceased by his parents John C Burnham and Clara C Burnham (nee Demuynck). Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Estep) of 30 years. Dear Stepfather of George (Eileen) Donahue, Thomas (Coleen) Donahue both predeceased and Troy Donahue. Loving Grandfather of George David 2ND, Kelly Brown (Curtis) and Devon Donahue. Great grandfather to George David 3RD and Andrew Michael. All of Bradenton, Florida. Dear brother of Loreena Richardson (Fred) of Wiarton, Carol Burnham of Warren, Dorothy Martin (Myron) both predeceased, John predeceased (Donna), Fred (Debra) of Copper Cliff, Gerry (Jude) of St. Charles. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and grew up on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing. He then moved to Thunder Bay where he joined the Thunder Bay Police Force. He then met Virginia the love of his life and moved to Ellenton, Florida where they married. Bob drove transport coast to coast in the USA since 1995. For the last many years he drove for Indian River Transport with the handle Mountie. Bob made many friends in Canada and the United States. He will be greatly missed and will be in our hearts forever.12836439

My condolences to Bob's family. I was saddened by the news of Bob's passing. I spent every summer at the farm on Lake Road helping out and hanging out. Bob was a great friend and we spent the past years facebooking back and forth (often while he was on the road. I enjoyed his jokes, pictures and recipes. He will be greatly missed.

Remembering the Bobby I knew from many, many years ago when we used to help the family bail hay on the Burnham farm on Lake Road in St. Charles!
