She grew up on a farm near Arborfield and first attended Pembina School prior to graduating from Arborfield High School. Cheryl spent many hours doing volunteer work with the Nipawin Hawks as well as supporting her children’s hockey and ringette activities. Cheryl and Omer spent many wonderful days at the cabin at Tobin Lake. After purchasing a motorhome, they explored Saskatchewan, camping and attending music jamborees. Cheryl also crocheted and participated in many community craft sales. She enjoyed and played the piano for many years, even after she lost her eye sight! Cheryl and Omer spent many nights old time dancing until her health declined. She also played the spoons while Omer and his group entertained at the local nursing homes.
