LANDIS, Mark Stanley - MD, FRCP(C), 39, London, Ont., August 11, 2017, at the Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouelette Campus, as a result of a tragic car accident near Pt. Pelee on August 5. Mark was the dear and beloved husband to Elizabeth Teasell and loving and devoted father to the sweet Matthew, Rhys and Remy. Mark was the only son to Dr. Stephan and Micheline Grenier Landis, Dundas; incredible brother to Anne-Marie Landis-Groom (Patrick), Toronto; caring uncle to James and Paul Groom, Toronto; thoughtful grandson to Sheila and the late Stanley Landis, Hamilton; and nephew and cousin to many in the Grenier family. Mark was also a wonderful supportive member to the Teasell family: son-in-law to Barbara and the late John Teasell, Sarnia; teasing and jovial brother-in-law to: Dr. Robert (Stella), London; Jim (Sandy), Kelowna; Steve (Sandi) and Tom, Sarnia, and Brenda (Ian), Sarnia; and uncle to Derek, Tyler, Kristen and Jennifer, and great-uncle to Ethan. Mark will be missed by his many friends and colleagues. Mark was assistant professor of Medicine/Radiology, Western University, and key interventional chest radiologist at Victoria Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre. He worked to save many other people's lives. By far, Mark was the rock and anchor to his family, beloved by friends and professional colleagues. Elizabeth and his boys were his main passion. He was skilled in photography, appreciated good wine, an avid runner, a great cook, and he especially enjoyed family gatherings. Mark showed humility and supported his fellow man. His wishes were respected through the Gift of Life Program, so that others might benefit. The family would like to thank the staff of the intensive care unit (WRH), particularly, Drs. Avi Wasserman and Eli Malus, and all of Mark's remarkable nurses. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date for family, friends and colleagues.
