AMBLER, Joyce Irine - Joyce passed away peacefully on October 4, 2016 in Nipawin into her parents loving arms, David and Irine Ambler. Joyce, the second daughter, was born in Melfort, Saskatchewan, and grew up with her siblings in Pathlow, Sask. Due to poor eyesight and eventually complete blindness, she never attended public school except for a couple of years she attended the handicap school in Melfort. She flourished under our mother's loving care and loved to sit beside Dad and listened to TV. Joyce attended Camp Easter Seal for several summers during her teen years. A favourite pastime was strumming her guitar, she also loved listening to music with Wilf Carter being her favourite singer. In later years she loved her radio, which was her favourite possession. With Dad's and Mum's failing health problems, Joyce went to live in group homes in Nipawin. One was with Diana Quiring, who was Joyce's guardian angel, she and her husband were the best and was very kind and loving to Joyce. We want to thank her for her many years of dedication and service to Joyce. Her last residence was a group home in Nipawin, where again the care was the best and she loved you all, especially, Bertha. So again we want to thank you all for your patience and compassion during Joyce's final years. Joyce was predeceased by her Dad, David (1995), her Mum, Irine (1997), her oldest brother, Vernon (2010) and second brother, Terry (2013). Joyce leaves to treasure her memory her sister Jean Harris (Gordon) and family, brothers Kenneth (Heather) and family, Raymond Ambler and family, and Barry Ambler and family. There will be a small grave side service for Joyce on September 2, 2017 at 1pm at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Melfort.
