BEAUDET, Alice - September 24, 1924 - October 26, 2017 It is with sadness that the family of Alice Anne Marie Josephine Beaudet, announce her passing on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Diamond House Care Home in Warmen, SK at the age of 93. Alice was born in the Kinistino area on September 24, 1924 to Joseph and Adelaide Barbey. She was one of four children living on a farm. In the early years she worked and helped run the family farm in the Struthers Lake area. In her twenties the family moved to Melfort and Alice began her working career. Times were trough when the family first moved and she had many great stories including how her family first lived in a converted railway car. Soon after Alice began what would be a long career working at the Melfort Hospital in the dietary department. She was a very determined and fiercely independent lady who learned to drive and eventually bought a home of her own. Alice was very devoted to the church, loved her bible studies with the Nuns and was very faithful daily in her prayers. Family was important to Alice and she enjoyed spending time with her nephews and nieces and their families, whether it was trips to the casino or family suppers. In her own time, Alice became very skilled as a gardener and many would turn to her for advice on what and how to grow the best flowers and vegetables. Rain, snow or shine, Alice was known to enjoy walking everywhere despite how far away it might be. Her great stubbornness will be missed by all of her family and friends! Alice is survived by many nephews, nieces and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Adelaide; her brother Andre and her two sisters, Louise and Marcelle. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 with tea to follow at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 - 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Father Jim Kaptein officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at HREF="http://www.grays.ca">www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to GRAY'S FUNERAL CHAPEL , (306-922-4729)

My Sympathy

I enjoyed my many years of working with Alice and the suppers when our staff would get together, she was always fun to be around & then that garden she grew was something else. She had a green thumb for sure.

Cherish the memories she has left us.
