Brown Arthur Aubrey - 1936 - 2018 Aubrey's family is heartbroken to announce his tragic death at his winter home in Mexico. Aubrey was born in Holstein Ontario to his parents Arthur and Eileen Brown. He attended Holstein Continuation School and Mount Forest High School. Through ROTC he earned a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto. He later got a Masters degree at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. His career in the Army took him to many places in Canada and Laar, Germany. It was in Laar that he met the love of his life, Ruth McDonald from Abbotsford BC. He retired from the Army in 1974 and began another career with the government of British Columbia where he and Ruth and their family took up residence in Victoria. At this time he earned another Masters degree in Municipal Planning from the University of Victoria. Aubrey is survived by his children Michael, Toronto, David (Susan) Victoria and Catherine Sutter (Steve Pelech) Vancouver. He adored his grandchildren Alexander and Christian Sutter and Ethan and Kellen Brown. Aubrey will be sadly missed by his sisters Arlene (Sam) Inglis, Yvonne (Jack d.2015) Gray and Marilyn (Ross d.2003) Preston. He leaves many nieces and nephews as well as Ruth's family, the McDonalds in BC. Aubrey is predeceased by his beloved Ruth, his parents Arthur and Eileen Brown along with his younger brother Floyd and his brothers in law Jack Gray, Ross Preston and Marilyn's partner Tom Roscoe. A wise, kind and thoughtful gentleman, he will be greatly missed. We didn't get to say goodbye.
