RYAN, Lorraine - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Lorraine Ryan, 82 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake on January 21st, 2019. Predeceased by the love of her life, Tim Ryan, sisters Claire and Marcel, brother-in-law Jerry, sister-in-law Joan and daughter-in-law Jody. Survived by her sons, Tim (Judy) of Blind River, David (Sandra) of Garson, Jamie (Nancy) of St. Joseph's Island, Bob (Sue) of Elliot Lake, Bill (Bea) of Blind River. Grandchildren Penny (Andrew Leeder), Deanna (Mark Hartwick), Mark (Jessica) Leonard, Jennifer (Brett Parsons), Sharon (John Desmoulin Sr.), Jessica (Josh Leed), Brittany Ryan, Emily Meek, Beverly (Rogder Betts), Kevin (Isis) Barber, McKenzie, Tie and Trent Ryan, Sierra (Patrick Dougherty), Meghan (Josh Davey-Barnet) and Brooke, Wyntre, Joy and Amanda. Great Grandchildren Daniel, Bryanna, Jordyn, Gavin, John Jr. Silver, Northlyn, Gunner, Liam and Marshall. Lorraine will be greatly missed by her sisters Connie (Ken) Beaulieu, Claudette (George) Toth, Susie (Ron) Robichaud, Irene (Allen) Grydsuk and brother-in-law Mike Boychucl. She will be fondly remembered by the Ryan family of Jim, Albert (Jackie), Rosie Ryan, Bridgette Van Shie, Helen Lilko as well as extended family of nephews, nieces and close friends. Born on December 18, 1936, she was the 3rd daughter of 7 to Irene and Lucien Pilon. She grew up in Windsor, St. Catherines and Sudbury until the family finally settled in Timmins, Ontario. Lorraine met Tim Ryan in Timmins and they were married on July 17, 1953. They made their way to Elliot Lake in the late 1950's with their infant son Tim Jr. Her family expanded with the arrival of David, Jamie and the surprise twins Bobby and Bily. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Lorraine loved to host family and friends at home or at the cottage for any occassion. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle manners, her baking treats for her boys, spending time and sharing her love with all her grandchildren.
