John Roy Taggart - It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of John Roy Taggart on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Fera). Cherished father of Errol (Lorna) and John (Diana). Loving Nonno of Alyvia, Syrianna, Alaina and Jadyn. John is survived by siblings Catherine (Tony predeceased) Plexman, and Fred (Joan). Predeceased by Ann Wisniewski, and Bill (Millie). He will be fondly remembered by his sisters in law, Barb (Dar) Anderson and Margaret (Gerry) Alary. Much loved uncle to many nieces, nephews and extended family for whom he made a difference in their lives. John was born in High River, Alberta to the late Errol “Bill” (1965), and Edith (nee Adam) (1949). Bill moved the family to Creighton Mine, where he was a Mining Engineer, and one of the first families to relocate to Lively, Ontario. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff on the 6th floor south tower at Health Sciences North for their care and compassion. Donations in John’s name can be made directly to a charity of your choice. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at St-Pius X Catholic Church, Sixth Avenue, Lively, Ontario. Our deepest and sincerest sympathies. John was such a kind and loving man, husband and father! I will never forget the good times we had sailing on Lake Ramsey so long ago. He will be missed and not forgotten! God bless you and keep you strong. Our hearts and thoughts are with you!
