McDONALD, Albert Borden - 1946 - 2019 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Albert Borden McDonald, "Ab" in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on February 2, 2019 with his partner and best friend Paula Bayer at his side. Ab was born in Blind River on December 16, 1946 to Borden and Ethel McDonald. Ab was raised in Webbwood, On. He later trained and worked very hard to become an excellent carpenter and returned to Blind River to set up his own successful business. Ab is survived by his sisters, Lois Jenson (Merv), Elliot Lake, ON., Ann Claire (Bill) Maitland, Webbwood, ON., brother Gilbert (April) McDonald, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, brother-in-law, Raymond Kennedy and sister-in-laws, Greta McDonald and Yvette McDonald. Ab was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Olive St. Michel (McDonald), Douglas McDonald, Robert McDonald, Muriel McDonald, Jack McDonald, Grace Kennedy (McDonald) and his nephew Blaine McDonald. Ab will be deeply missed by all his family and his many nephews and nieces and especially his partner, Paula and also her family. He was a very talented carpenter that took much pride in his work. He will also be greatly missed by his American friends at Lake Dubourne and many others that knew and loved his handy work and gentle character. As per Ab's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ab's life will be held in Blind River for all his family and friends at a date yet to be determined.
