FENNUK, Morris - In Loving Memory March 15, 1933 - March 14, 2019 Passed away peacefully on March 14, 2019 at Extendicare Timmins. Devoted father to Bradley (Joan Francis), Sharon Wagner (Dennis), and Linda Hocevar. Dear grandfather (Deedee) to Clara, Carolyn, and Risa Fennuk, Allison Wagner, and Jenna and Jeffrey Hocevar. Great grandfather to Noah Edward Hocevar. Predeceased by his beloved wife Eleanor, his sister Mary and twin sister Olga. Survived by his two brothers Jake and Walter, both residing in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. Sadly missed by Edward Hocevar. Morris was born into a farming family in Saskatchewan, and realized at a young age that he was all thumbs and that staying on a farm meant certain injury. He loved automobiles and decided to take a career in automobile underwriting with an Insurance company in Toronto. Part of his early career involved travelling throughout North Eastern Ontario visiting Insurance Agencies. In the early 1960’s he was given the opportunity to become the proud owner of an Insurance Agency in South Porcupine (former Pearl Kennedy Insurance). The family moved, the Agency was renamed Porcupine Insurance and Real Estate, and Morris went on to sell General and Life Insurance, as well as Real Estate and appraisals. Mom and Dad worked together for over 25 years before enjoying their well-earned retirement together. Morris was an avid golfer and a member of Spruce Needles Golf Club for many years. He travelled the US and Canada extensively, rarely leaving on a trip without his clubs packed. He also spent many years curling at the McIntyre Curling Club. For pure enjoyment, his number one passion was spending time at the camp and fishing on Nighthawk Lake with Mom and his friends and family, both summer and winter. Morris loved spending time with his family, and the countless card games that were played will be fondly remembered. He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage, and he especially looked forward to the big Ukrainian meal at Christmas. Special thank you to Dr. Vaithilingham for all the excellent care provided to Morris over too many years to count. Also, the family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at Extendicare for the great care Morris received for the last 2 1/2 years. Donations to the South Porcupine Food bank or a Charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday March 16th, 2019 at STINSON FUNERAL HOME . The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday March 16th, 2019 prior to the memorial service at Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, (705)235-2900 HREF="http://www.stinsonfuneralhome.net">www.stinsonfuneralhome.net
