DUMOND, Gary - Gary passed peacefully, surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital in his 80th year. Loving husband to Marg of 59 years. Father to Gerry (Dana), Allan (Cheryl), Bob (Maureen), Terry (Jennifer) and Donna (Art). Beloved grandfather to Jordan, Chris, Nathan, Kurtis, Kaitlin, Jarred, Cole, Devin, Rhys, Emily and Liam. Cherished great grandfather of 5. Special uncle to Bill Rosenberg (Jeannine) and Ann. Brother in law to Roy Chapados (Ellen), Patsy White (Don), Diane St. Onge (Gaetan), Ernie Chapados (the late Kerry), Guy Chapados (Danette), Claude Chapados (Jocelyn) and Denis Chapados. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Hester (nee Ingram) Dumond, brother Ernest Dumond and sister Ruth Rosenberg (the late Merl). Gary was a good husband and father. He was always willing to help people. He was friendly and kind to those he met. He loved to play cards, hockey and participated in the Thessalon Family Ball Tournament. He was a regular member and volunteer at St. Ambrose Catholic Church until his health prevented him. Special thanks to the emergency staff at North Shore Health Network-Thessalon and the staff in ICU and 3A at Sault Area Hospital. If desired the family appreciates donations to the Alzheimer Society or charity of your choice. Family and friends are invited to visit at the BEGGS FUNERAL HOME in Thessalon from 6pm until 9pm on Friday April 12, 2019. Funeral services to be held at St. Ambrose Church in Thessalon on Saturday April 13, 2019 beginning at 11am with luncheon to follow. Father Lourdo officiating.
