COSTA, John - After a short illness at the Kingston General Hospital, on Friday, March 23, 2012. Beloved husband of Karen Mahon and predeceased by his first wife Ana (1983). Loved father of Maria Lurdes Costa (Darren), Elizabeth Anne Costa, John Manuel Jr.Costa and Cassandra Louise Mahon-Costa (John). Cherished by his granddaughters Tanisha, Emily and Rachel. Predeceased by his parents Maria Santa Moniz and Joao DaCosta. Dear brother of Daniel DaCosta (Sarah), Ana de Sousa (Tony), Jose DaCosta (Lou) and predeceased by his brother Antonio DaCosta. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy St.) on Sunday, March 25 from 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Palace Road, on Monday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers at St. Mary's Cemetery. For those wishing, donations to the Liver Foundation for Research would be appreciated by his family. (donations by cheque please).

John was a friend, I met John when i worked at the lotto booth at the Kingston center, John really did like his nevada tickets.. He will be missed.my condolences go out to John's family.

Uncle John will always remain in my memories as the kind and easy-going uncle. His warm smile and the big moustache was and always will be his 'trademark'.
