WOLF, Pete - Pete was born in Morden, Manitoba to David and Mary Wolf in 1938. He grew up in the Carmen area and later moved into Morden where he attended school and worked with his brother Harold in the family construction business. Pete quit school in grade 6 and worked for his father until he found work as a telephone lineman for Manitoba Telephone, putting in line all over southern Manitoba. He was the youngest lineman in Canada. He later moved to Winnipeg where he did tire repair for York Tire, it was here that he learned to barter. Pete then moved to Saskatchewan and found work as a town police officer in Indian Head. He then took a welders course in Regina and found work at Degelman Industries. He moved to Calgary and worked as a welder at Conmac Cement. Pete's passions were hunting, fishing and trading guns. Throughout his life he travelled to hunt and fish. During one of these trips he fell in love with the Nipawin area and upon returning to Calgary, he packed up his family and they moved to Nipawin in 1976. Pete did what he could for work, eventually starting his own welding business, "Wolfs Portable Welding." He found seasonal work with the DNR as a tower man, watching for forest fires and also tried his hand at buffalo farming. He was known for wheeling and dealing guns and bought and sold anything he could. Pete had two children, Patty and David, as well as two step-daughters Carolyn and Ester. In 1989 Pete met Mejencia Pastorpile "Mins", and they were married August 3rd, 1990. Mins was Pete's best friend and partner through thick and thin. Those who knew Pete before and after would say that Mins made him a better man. Mins was without a doubt, a blessing from the Lord. Later on when Pete's health was failing, Mins again showed what a blessing she was, caring for Pete selflessly, right by his side until the end of his battle with cancer on June 7th, 2016 when he passed away peacefully in his home. Pete was predeceased by his mother and father, Mary and David, his brother David, his daughter Patty and granddaughter Kyra. He is survived by his wife Mins, son David (Juanita), grandchildren Jessie, Simon and Samantha, greatgrandchildren Trinity and Serinity, brother Harold (Justine), nieces Joanne Wieler, Debra Wolf, Geraldine Wiebe (Richard) and Valerie Dyck. It was Pete's wish to thank all his friends throughout the years for the friendship and loving support they have provided him.
