Kirkland Lake, ON ( Change City )

SANDRIN - The Sandrin Family would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to so many people for the outpouring of love, support and thoughtfulness during the recent loss of our wonderful husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather (Nonno)....and friend Junior. Thank you to the amazing nurses of the VON who guided us through some very difficult days and provided an exceptional level of care and compassion. We were grateful for the support received from CCAC and from the nurses and Doctor's here at Kirkland & District Hospital during Junior's hospital stays. The celebration of Junior's life was a wonderful tribute to him and will remain in our hearts forever. Thank you to our speakers who remembered Junior with passion and humour...just the way Junior lived life! Thank you to Anna and family at Mama's for your extreme generosity and the amazing luncheon that you organized and prepared. We will be forever grateful. And thank you to Dave Copeland for providing the music at the Legion and to Ryan Larcher for the tunes later at the fed! Thank you CJKL for remembering Junior to the community through your on air tributes and to Perry Kong and the Northern News for the front page recognition of Junior's contribution to Kirkland Lake throughout his lifetime. He was indeed a local icon! Thank you to the Kinsmen for everything you have done for us , during Junior's illness and at end of life. He was a proud KIN and he loved all you guys! Thank you to Glen and Patricia and staff at Monette & French Funeral home for your professionalism and compassion and support seeing us through this difficult time. To so very many of you in the community....the outpouring of love and support was overwhelming….our sincere thank you. To so many other friends your gifts of meals, food trays, decadent deserts....and yes the boxes of beer and bottles of wine.... all were so truly appreciated! The beautiful flowers that arrived both at the house and at the Legion added cheer to sad days. The generous giving of donations to the Kirkland & District Hospital, the Advocates for Northern Animals and charities of choice was again overwhelming. The expressions of sympathy received via Post, Facebook and Email, number in the hundreds...the so very special part being that so many of you shared a remembrance of Junior or shared with us your thoughts on what made him such a great guy. Thank you to each and every one of you for everything. We are so very fortunate to have such a great family and so many wonderful friends and extended family members, many who travelled long distances, who stood strong by our side and gave us their love and support ....and many hugs....when we needed it the most...we are truly blessed. We know Junior will remain forever in our hearts and yours ... he left us with cherished memories to last us our lifetimes….and oh so many great stories! Ours to treasure. We take comfort in knowing his beloved Bacon dog is now by his side once again. Bacon went to be with his Master on May 23, 2017. They will Rest in Peace together.
