THANKS

THANK YOU Thumbs up to everyone who helped make our 50th anniversary successful. Dennis, Robt and Ralph did a superb job of bartending. Bob and Barb provided a delicious banquet. Keith and Pauline Siemon, as usual, created a problem so that our friends from England could be here. And our kids surprised us with a touching toast and some heart warming speeches. Thanks so much to everyone. It was nice to have our family and friends here to celebrate with us, as it was to share our sorrows and sadness this summer. We have been so blessed to live in such a caring community when our grandson Eli was sick and upon his death. Although it was short lived, we were so proud that Eli was the third generation to be working in construction along with his dad and his grandpa. Something we started 48 years ago. Thanks for the hugs, cards, cash donations, phone calls and food that was dropped off. When we'd come home, food was in the fridge, the freezer, or the oven. Dishes were washed and sometimes the cattle were fed. The neighbourhood did a great job of cutting, raking and baling our hay. We were deeply touched by the support from the prayer circle, community fundraiser, and the two funerals. It was truly overwhelming. Lockhart Funeral Home, the arena crew, Ed Havenga, and Pastor Bublitz were so compassionate and caring in everything they did to make Eli's funeral what it was. Awesome! Just awesome! We always thought we lived in a great community and now we truly know that we do. True friends laugh with you and they cry with you. Thanks for everything. It is greatly appreciated. As someone said to us..."Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal." Thanks, Neil and Diana Rapien13229044
