THANKS

Etta Ross

ROSS, Etta - The family of the late Etta (Effie) Ross wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbours who touched Effie's life with kindness over the years and have reached out to us now sharing their memories and making donations on her behalf. Thanks to Dana, April, Annie, Sylvia Kempers and Dr. Burke for their compassionate care over these many years. To the various home healthcare personnel who enabled Mom to fulfill her wish of remaining in her own home, we extend our gratitude for your care and support; Brad and Amy of the Hospital at Home Program; CCAC Co-Ordinators Dennis and Natasha; PSW's Kassandra, Dawn, Jessica & Laura; Nurses Sherri and Andrew; Elna of the VON Smile Program. In the days preceding Effie's passing, our thanks go out to Dr. Colby and the great emergency staff at PECMH for your care on the eve of Feb. 1st; to Dr. Coady at BGH for your exemplary care to our Mom and your compassionate understanding for the family's struggles and concerns which helped make a difficult time more bearable; to all the nurses and staff on the Quinte 4th floor geriatric unit at BGH who tended to Mom and did all in their power to meet her needs and ease her suffering during her final days; to Rev. Fran Langlois for the friendship provided through her program of Anglican Ministry to Seniors in PEC. What a wonderfully generous service you provide. Thanks to the George Ackerman Family for their many years of kindness and friendship. Thanks also to Milford neighbours Dave Hicks, and Norah and Jim Bolby for the drives provided to Mom for appointments when we were unable to, and Dave and Artie Clapp for helping keep her driveway clear in winter. Finally, a very special thank you to "earth angel" Alison Hicks whose friendship, compassion and loving devotion to Effie over the past few years was instrumental in ensuring she could remain in her home. Your smiles and cups of tea were a gift beyond measure.13149157
